• On this Sunday December 5, the Manhattan Good Neighbors Association will be decorating old people’s homes for Christmas. If you cannot go to the Social on the 7th please try to show up from 1-3 PM. They will be meeting at the Beach Museum off of Anderson St.

• For those of you who have not picked up your Chimes T-shirt, you can pick them up any time on campus in 114 Seaton Ct (the building behind Seaton Hall)
• We are compiling a list of Dos and Don’ts for next year’s Chimes class so please email any feedback you have thus far on the infrastructure of the organization
• At our next meeting we will be getting back into our committees to discuss selections, service and social so be sure to know which committee you are in (Family Weekend will now be Social)
• Think about ideas for an upcoming Chimes retreat possibly in the first week back from winter break
• As far as service opportunities the Douglass Tutoring Center will be our main focus until next meeting

-Family weekend was a success and Newell will be organizing "Thank-you Notes". We may be advertising this in the collegian next year but we are open to any suggestions
-Come hangout this Thursday (9/30) at 6:30 and grab some ice cream at Cold Stone
-On Monday October 17th at 2:00pm we will all be headed out to a pumpkin patch for a fall social event. More details to come but mark your calendars!

• Guest speaker Dan came to talk to us about Delta Chi Fraternity and how they are interested in opening a new chapter here at K-State
• Look for an email soon regarding changing our meeting times via the online web tool Doodle
• Don't forget that Officer reports are due the Sunday directly before the meeting of that week
• We will be helping out at the Salvation Army Thrift Store on Saturday September 11 from 10-2. If you cannot show up on that day, they do need help the following Monday from 12-5 or Tuesday through the next Saturday from 10-6. Please try to show up for a few hours during one of these times. They had volunteers quit and are very thankful for our interest.

Meeting Minutes 4/20/2010
- Join the Chimes Facebook Fan Page so you can stay in touch with new/old members and get updates!
- A Chimes budget will be written in order for all members to understand where dues will be going. Dues will be tentatively due on May 7th but will be discussed further at our May 4th meeting
- There is a service opportunity with Habitat for Humanity here in Manhattan on April 29 from 4-7 and on May 1. This is not a required service project but would show the organization good faith. They need people to help run the store and it is a good way to pick up cheap supplies for the common house problem. Look for an email from our service chair Chelsea Corkins and contact her at ccorkins@ksu.edu
- It was brought up to create a social account. This will be discussed further at our meeting on May 4th
- There is a may be a volleyball social event at the Rec before finals week. Get excited! Look for an email from our social chairs Erin White and Tom Greer

- There are volunteering opportunities at the Douglass Tutoring Center Monday-Thursday from 5-7 every week

Meeting Minutes 3/23/2010

- Douglas Learning Center tutoring service opportunities are available each week. This is a great way to help the local community kids and have fun!
- The Chimes Constitution was reviewed. The updated version will soon be available on the Chimes website.
- Our joint service project with new and old members is going to be with the K-State Blood Drive. Chalking will be taking place on Sunday, April 4th at 8:30. If anyone can help with that, then meet with Kristi and other volunteers on the north side of the union. If you want to help distribute posters and small flyers around campus, e-mail Carolyn Freeman at cfreeman@ksu.edu, and she can get some posters to you and give you more details! The actual Chimes volunteer day for the blood drive is Monday, April 5th. If you have not signed up for a shift for that day, e-mail Carolyn Freeman at cfreeman@ksu.edu. Once again, this is a required service project for old and new members. Thanks for your participation!

Meeting Minutes 3/02/2010
- The Constitution Review Committee will consist of Nicole Allen, Kristin Gleason, and Cameron Piercy. If you have any suggestions for changes in the constitution, please e-mail one of the committee members before spring break.
- We now have a Chimes Fan Page on Facebook!! To become a fan, log in to your personal Facebook account, search "Chimes", and click "Become a Fan" on the page. Or you can go straight to the page with this address http://www.facebook.com/pages/Manhattan-KS/K-State-Chimes-Junior-Honorary/354386058080?ref=ts . Please join so we can keep up with each other and future Chimes members. You should also invite your friends to become fans to boost awareness and publicity!
- Interviews for new Chimes applicants are this weekend! Be sure to arrive in the Union on the second floor 10 minutes before your shift starts and dress business professional. As of yesterday's meeting, we still need 1 person to sign up for the Sat. 3:30-5:30 time slot. If you can work that time, please e-mail Nicole Allen at nmallen@ksu.edu asap.
- Two $300 scholarships will be awarded to two new Chimes members with the highest scores from the interview and application process. The scholarships will be awarded during the Induction Ceremony night.
- A google spreadsheet will be e-mailed out with new Chimes members names and schedules before the day of tapping, Tues. March 9th. Please sign up for one or two new members to tap. There will also be an attached congratulations sheet that you will be responsible for printing and giving to the new member when you tap them.
- The Induction Ceremony will be Wed. March 10th at 9:00pm in the Hemisphere Room in Hale Library. Please bring a food or drink item and dress business professional.
- MARK YOUR CALENDARS: There will be a Joint Chimes Meeting with new officer elections on Tues. March 23 at 7:00 in the Groesbeck Room at Hale Library. There will be a Joint Officer's Meeting Sunday March 28th, time and location TBA.
- Our service project for April is the KSU Blood Drive. This will be a joint service project and we will be working the booth on Monday April 5th. More information to follow.
- Officers- You must have a hard binder with your office position's information to pass on to the new officers by the March 23rd meeting. Make sure it is organized and contains all useful information for next year's Chimes officers. If you have any digital copies of documents, you can pass those on as well.

Meeting Minutes 2/16/2010
- Any members who want to volunteer to help with K-State Proud from Feb. 22nd-26th can e-mail Carolyn Freeman at cfreeman@ksu.edu to set up a time to work at the booth in the Union. This is not a required service project.
- We are going to combine our February and March service projects. Ideas for that include helping with the Boys & Girls club or baking homemade meals for the Manhattan Emergency Center as a joint social event.
- The April service project will be helping with the KSU Blood Drive. We are still waiting for more details from their organization, just make sure to mark your calendars for April 5th-9th.
- If you signed up to be on the Feb/March/April service committees contact Carolyn Freeman at cfreeman@ksu.edu to figure out when to have a committee meeting.
- We had a good turn out at the informational meeting for prospective members. Thanks go out to Nicole Allen and Rebecca Martin for putting together the powerpoint and organizing the meeting!
- There will be a selections meeting for those who signed up to help review applications on Thurs. Feb 25th at 5:00 in Hale Library Room 123.

Meeting Minutes 2/02/2010
- The Douglas Tutoring volunteer opportunities are available as usual this month
- The service project for April will be the KSU Blood Drive. Our participation will include having members attend meetings before the blood drive, help spread the word, and volunteer on April 5-9 at the Student Union. This will be a joint project with the newly inducted Chimes members for next year's junior class.
- Members who are studying abroad still have membership status as long as they have paid their membership dues :)
- Each member needs to help encourage students who are applicable to apply for next year's Chimes class to do so by hanging up fliers in buildings on campus and sending out the personalized e-mails.
- There will be an informational meeting for students interested in applying for Chimes on Tuesday Feb. 9th at 7:00 in the Hemisphere Room in Hale Library. Current members do not need to attend.
- There will be an ice cream social for current Chimes members at Cold Stone in Aggieville on Tuesday Feb. 9th at 7:30!! It's college night, so bring your student ID for a buy one, get one for 25 cents!
- The selections process will begin Thurs. Feb. 25th. Members are needed to help rank applications from 5-10pm in Room 123 of Hale Library. Let Nicole Allen or Rebecca Martin know if you can help.
- Two of our members, Danny Unruh and Annie Oliver, are running for Student Body President and Vice President! Please help support them in their campaign by joining their facebook fan page, visiting their website www.dannyandannie.org, donating money/purchasing a t-shirt, and by spreading the word for everyone to vote for them on KSOL Feb. 23-24th for the prelim. elections! Meeting Minutes 1/19/2010
- Improvements and goals for Chimes this semester include more efficient, organized, and formal meetings, creating a Chimes hosted service project, and better attendance numbers.
- Meetings are going to remain at the Groesbeck Room in the Manhattan Public Library at 7:00pm, every other Tuesday.
- Two of our officers are going to attend a Quest meeting on behalf of Chimes to promote our organization on Jan. 26th.
- T-shirts are in! If you have not paid or picked up your shirts yet, please contact Alan Winter to get your shirt before the next meeting. Members are required to wear their Chimes t-shirts on campus during the days of our meetings to help promote awareness of Chimes (and to make people jealous of our awesome sense of fashion).
- Our last opportunity to volunteer for the Bramlage clean-up fundraiser was Sat. Jan 23. Thanks to all of the volunteers for helping raise more scholarship money!
- Our January service project was the Mortar Board academic decathlon on the 22nd and 23rd. All of our help was greatly appreciated at the event.
- Selections for new Chimes members is coming up! E-mails will be sent out through a list serv to current sophomores who qualify to apply for Chimes on February 1st, 2010. All applications are due Feb. 24 at 4:00 pm in OSAS. In order to encourage eligible future juniors to apply, current Chimes members should place the fliers that were handed out last meeting in different buildings on campus. Personal e-mails will also be sent out by current members to eligible applicants starting Feb. 1st. (see selection timeline for more information, if you need a copy, contact Nicole Allen or Rebecca Martin)
- We are trying to set up a social event for February. All ideas should be sent to Kelby Polfer or Jessica Glaser.
- Officers need to make sure they have a binder/folder for their positions to be passed on to next year's new officers. Digital copies of documents are also good to have on a cd or flash drive.
- Next meeting is at 7:00 on Tuesday, Feb. 2nd. Remember to wear your Chimes shirts that day!!
